Oak Creek Seeks Input On Abendschein Park Upgrades

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek's Abendschein Park, 1311 E. Drexel Ave., is already a popular spot for walkers, disc golfers, beer gardens and for residents to get some time out in the fresh air.

City officials are taking a look at the existing skate park, and will soon be pursuing the redesign and renovation of the skate park beginning this fall. As part of that effort, city officials will be asking for the public's input as to how the redesign should go.

Residents and skate enthusiasts are encouraged to look for the City of Oak Creek tent at Abendschein Park on Aug.28 between 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. or that evening at the Drexel Town Square Food Truck Tour between 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. to participate in a brief visual preference survey.

Oak Creek officials say the results will help guide the design process for the skate park renovation. Staff will be present to record your preference for skate park features and answer questions regarding the project.
