Dear guest of our salon
I am Kathleen the owner of the salon
It has been brought to my attention by my stylist that they feel your haircut service you have booked with us is not a good fit for your needs with us.
My stylists are not comfortable with servicing your child.
As the owner I stuck to provide excellent service with quality results. It is with regret we will have to decline your appointment. You will need to seek another children's salon for your service.
This is nothing personal it is just not a good fit for my stylists.
I do hope you understand
Kindly
Kathleen

She shared the e-mail on social media, and drew an emphatic response from parents in support of she and her son. According to the FOX6 News report, the salon attempted to explain that Oelke's son Matthew reacts physically to have his hair cut, and cited potential safety issues.

Read more about this story here, and how the salon is working to welcome Matthew and his mom back to the salon after they called the incident a misunderstanding brought about because of their online appointment booking system.:
