OAK CREEK, WI — Unofficial Spring 2017 election results are in for the City of Oak Creek, and two contested races have been decided.
When it came to the two seats which were open on the Oak Creek-Franklin joint school board, Oak Creek chose incumbents Amy Mlot and Mark Verhalen. They were facing challengers Juli Murphy and Sean Kingston. Oak Creek's vote totals will be combined with Franklin's vote totals during the official board of canvass to determine the final vote total and the winner.
Challenger Richard J. Duchniak, a veteran leader of the Oak Creek Community Center, defeated incumbent Mark Verhalen in Oak Creek's 3rd Aldermanic District.
