Oak Creek Vehicle Theft Literally Towed Away

Oak Creek police are investigating the city's latest vehicle theft after a pickup truck was pulled from its parking spot this week.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police are investigating the city's latest vehicle theft after a pickup truck was pulled from its parking spot this week.

Oak Creek police responded to the Southfield Apartments on the 6900 block of W. Southfield Road for the city's most recent vehicle theft.

According to police, just after 7:30 a.m. on Sep. 17, an apartment resident called police, stating his 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 truck was taken from its parking spot in front of the apartment.

The truck was further described as a black vehicle with a decal that reads "Verette Construction Foundation Repair" on both sides of the truck. The back window has a sticker that reads "Once a Marine, Always a Marine."

According to reports, the truck appeared to have been towed from the parking spot due to drag marks on the ground. No repo companies had contacted Oak Creek police, and regular payments were made on the truck, which was valued at $36,000.

Another resident from the apartment told police they heard squealing tires around 1 a.m. that morning, and believed it may have been their neighbor's truck, which has now been reported stolen.
