Oak Creek Woman Saw Break-In As It Happened: Report

OAK CREEK, WI -- Police in Oak Creek say they're investigating a vehicle break-in case after the owner of the vehicle heard a suspect smash her window out during the early morning hours of May 6.

According to Oak Creek police logs, a woman on the 7500 block of S. Manor Ave. called 911 just after midnight on May 6 after hearing a loud noise outside and finding the window of a vehicle on her property.

Police logs stated that when the woman went outside, she saw a person inside her husband's truck and the front passenger window smashed out.

Officers said the woman told police that the suspect appeared to be older with dark hair, and that he left the scene in a darker sedan heading north.

Police reported that they checked the area and did not find any other vehicle break-ins or suspects matching the description of the one that was previously reported.
