Oak Creek Woman Watches Helplessly as Man Steals Her Wallet

A woman who dropped her wallet at an Oak Creek gas station could only watch as a man picked it up, and took off running.

OAK CREEK, WI — A woman who dropped her wallet at an Oak Creek gas station could only watch as a man picked it up, and took off.

Oak Creek police responded to the PDQ on S. 27th St. on a report of a theft.

According to the report, a female customer was filling up her gas tank, when she dropped her wallet containing $130 in cash and other items.

The report states that she began to leave the parking lot, but quickly realized that she was missing her wallet.
As she was waiting at a nearby red traffic light, she told police that she could see a man pick something up that looked like her wallet, only to run off.

She returned to the PDQ, and told the clerk what happened.

According to the police report, store management reviewed the video footage to confirm that the man picked up the woman's wallet and fled the store, just as the woman came back to retrieve it.

The male suspect is described a s a black male in his early 20s wearing a black jacket with white stripes on the sleeves. He stood about five-foot seven and appeared to weigh about 135 pounds.
