Oh No! Oak Creek Splash Pad Closed
Slippery surface dooms city's newest kid-friendly water feature. Village said to be working on the problem.
OAK CREEK -- Oak Creek's new splash pad, located on Drexel Town Square, will be closed through the end of June after residents brought their concerns to the city that the cement becomes too slippery when wet.
"Please understand that we are reviewing the site to ensure that we can make it as safe as possible for those that come to use this amenity," reads a post on the city's Facebook page.

According to a WISN report, a city spokesperson said officials were working on installing a rubberized surface to help prevent falls.
