One Hospitalized After 13th Street Accident: Report

OAK CREEK, WI -- Police in Oak Creek responded to the 8400 block of S. 13th Street just after 4 p.m. on Dec. 9 on a report of an auto accident.

According to police reports, a driver was heading north on S. 13th Street when he attempted to pass the vehicle in front of him. He drove his vehicle into oncoming traffic, believing the oncoming lane was clear.

The driver told police he saw an oncoming vehicle at the last second and swerved off the road, only to strike a WE Energies utility pole. When authorities arrived on the scene, they saw that the driver was bleeding from the head and was transported to Froedtert Hospital.
