Parents, 8th Graders Encouraged to Attend OCHS Open House Night

OAK CREEK, WI -- All current 8th grade students and their parents/guardians are encouraged to attend an informational open house at Oak Creek High School Thursday night for those planning to take the step to High School next fall.

This open house will provide all future/current students of Oak Creek High School and their families an opportunity to explore the opportunities that await students at Oak Creek High School and a chance to interact with staff in advance.

With the planned opening of the 9th Grade Center, the 9th Grade students will be in a different building for most classes, but district officials say they look forward to continue providing a superior educational experience.

Evening Schedule for Thursday, January 12, 2017
5:30 p.m. Open House begins
5:45 p.m. Programming Presentation(Little Theater) - Only for new enrollments
6:15 p.m. Mandatory Band Meeting (Rm 265)
7:15 p.m. Presentation by 9 th Grade Administrator (new gym)
7:30 p.m. Open House Ends

According to school district officials, attendees will be able to tour the building and Oak Creek High School staff will be available to discuss curriculum and extra-curricular clubs. Sponsors of school organizations will be present at tables throughout the building.

District officials say that displays and information about athletics will be available in the cafeteria.

At the beginning of the Open House Knight, there will be an important, but brief, Career & Academic Planning presentation which will begin promptly at 5:45 p.m. in the Little Theater. This presentation is only for new enrollment students and does not pertain to students from East and West Middle Schools.

There is a mandatory informational meeting for all students considering high school band at 6:15 p.m. in the band room (room 265) during this open house.
We will conclude the evening with a brief presentation by the 9th grade administrator at 7:15 p.m. in the new gym.
