Police Arrest Man Accused Of Assaulting Illinois Officer: Report

According to Oak Creek police call logs, an officer on patrol saw the driver of a vehicle heading the wrong way on W. Ryan Road.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Police in Oak Creek say a traffic stop led to the arrest of a man accused of assaulting a police officer in Illinois.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, an officer on patrol saw the driver of a vehicle heading the wrong way on W. Ryan Road. After stopping the vehicle on the 1400 block of W. Ryan Road, he was cited for driving with a suspended driver license.

During the course of the traffic stop, the responding officer also found the driver, to have an arrest warrant out on him with the Milwaukee County Sheriff on charges of battery and disorderly conduct.

According to the Oak Creek Police call logs, the man was also wanted by the Illinois Department of Corrections for aggravated battery of a police officer.
