OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say a man was arrested after he called 911 on himself, had a change of heart, ran away, and then got caught.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, officers were called out to an apartment on W. Sunnyview Drive at just after 11 a.m. on Sunday on a report of a man who requested police, but then suddenly hung up.

When police responded to the residence, they spoke with the woman who lived there. The woman told police that her ex-boyfriend came over to speak with her about a situation in which he reportedly had a baby with his new girlfriend.

According to police call logs, the woman told her ex that she didn't care. The man then became upset and then asked her for her cell phone so he could call police on himself.
