Police Bust Oak Creek Drunk Driver With Child In Vehicle: Report

Police said they found three canisters of marijuana, drug paraphernalia for crack cocaine, and an open bottle of Hennessey.

OAK CREEK, WI -- A traffic stop for an expired registration led to drug charges and possibly more after police in Oak Creek say they found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, an open bottle of liquor and a two-year-old child in the vehicle.

According to Oak Creek police, an officer on patrol stopped the driver of a vehicle just after 5 p.m. on Nov. 10 in the 8700 block of S. Howell Ave. for an expired registration.

When the officer investigated, they located three canisters of marijuana, drug paraphernalia for crack cocaine, and an open bottle of Hennessey. In the rear of the vehicle, the officer reported finding a two-year-old child.

Police said the driver failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. The child was turned over to his mother at the scene, police said.

According to police, the man was arrested on suspicion of his third drunk driving offense, possession of THC, second offense.
