Police Called Over Power-Borrowing Neighbor
Oak Creek police were called to a Chicago St. residence after a tenant had her power shut off, and strung a cord to her neighbors house.

OAK CREEK, WI — An apartment manager on the 9000 block of S. Chicago St. called police on Sep. 28 on a report that one of the apartment's tenants was doing something unusual to obtain electricity.
According to Oak Creek police reports, one of the tenants had her electricity shut off by WE Energies. The tenant then ran an extension cord from her apartment to a neighbor's residence in order to obtain electricity. The apartment manager told police that he had concerns about this practice being a fire hazard.
When police investigated, they saw that a power cord had been strung from her garage into a neighbor's residence. There was no word whether the resident was agreeable to the power-borrowing practice of their neighbor.

Officers attempted to make contact with the power-borrowing resident to no avail. The apartment manager was advised to contact the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office for more information about eviction proceedings.
