Police Catch Kohl's Department Store Thieves: Report

An officer on patrol that day located the two women in a van parked in the Oak Park parking lot, reports said.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Police in Oak Creek say they were able to track down two women accused of stealing more than $1,000 in merchandise from the Kohl's Department store.

According to Oak Creek police reports, officers were called out to the Kohl's just before noon on Jan. 14 on a report that two women left the store with stolen goods, and refused to go back in when they were confronted by store security.

Reports stated the security officer got the plate number and vehicle type and relayed it to officers following the incident.

According to reports, an officer on patrol that day located the two women in a van parked in the Oak Park parking lot. When the officer questioned the woman, reports said that both women admitted to stealing several items from the store earlier that day.

When all of the items were collected, the stolen goods amounted to $1,192.15. Reports indicated that the two women were cited for retail theft.
