Police Investigate South Milwaukee High School Threat: Reports
Students at South Milwaukee High School are under "lock and hold" after a threat was made by a student, reports show.

Update: At South Milwaukee High School Tuesday morning, a student recieved a threatening text from a juvenile outside the District, causing the campus to go into a lockdown, according to the South Milwaukee Police Department.
Police have since determined there is no threat to the public.
Texts said the school would be "shot up," the department said in a news release Tuesday. A 16-year-old from Milwaukee was arrested following the texts. The teenager was not a student at South Milwaukee High School.

Police also said that Tuesday morning a photo was found that contained a bomb threat against South Milwaukee School District. Two juveniles who police say admitted to the bomb threat were referred for charges, SMPD said in the news release.

A District letter informed parents a threat was recieved early Tuesday morning, CBS 58 reported. Students are still in class, however, they are not able to move around the campus. The high school and middle school are on the same campus.
South Milwaukee Police Chief William Jessup told the Journal Sentinel over email police are working to find the source of the threat.
The exact threat is unknown. The Journal Sentinel reports Jessup said a text message was recieved from a student making threats against the school.
