Police Squad Gets In Accident Responding To Mental Health Crisis
The officer's squad slowed down at the intersection when he was struck by a driver who thought the intersection was clear

OAK CREEK, WI -- An Oak Creek police squad was involved in a two-vehicle crash as the officer was responding to an emergency situation at Oak Creek East Middle School.
According to police reports, police were called to the middle school just after 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 2 on a report of a student who was suffering a mental health crisis and was becoming physical with staff there.
Police reports state that as one officer was headed to the school with their lights and siren on, they were struck at the intersection of S. Howell Ave. and W. Ryan Rd.

According to reports, the officer's squad slowed down at the intersection when he was struck by a driver who thought the intersection was clear. There were no injuries reported as a result of the accident.
