Poppy Days Are Here Again

This year's Poppy Princess made an appearance at Tuesday's Common Council meeting.

Poppy Princess Samantha Pinkalla appeared at Tuesday's Common Council meeting to collect donations and distribute poppies to city officials and audience members.

Her appearance came in advance of Poppy Days at the Oelschaleger-Dallmann American Legion Post 434, held on May 13 and 14. Those days are set aside to distribute poppies and honor veterans in the city.

The American Legion Post's annual distribution of poppies helps raise money for veterans and their families, as well as scholarships, rehabilitation projects at the Zablocki VA Medical Center and much more.
