Updated: Decision on USPS Extension Delayed Again
Agreement would push back construction deadline for mail processing center.

The Oak Creek Common Council Tuesday night did not take action on the United States Postal Service's request to extend the deadline for building a mail-processing center.
Officials said a few remaining issues on a proposed memorandum of understanding still need to be worked out between the USPS, Oak Creek officials and the postal service's developer, Cobalt Partners. That was also the case when the proposal was first brought to the council last month.
No specifics have been offered on what those issues are, but representatives from the city and Cobalt Partners have said previously that they believe the agreement will be finalized soon.
