Public Hearing On OakView Development Tuesday Night

The Dickman Co. has submitted plans for a 105,000 square-foot industrial building in Oakview Business Park.

OAK CREEK, WI β€” Officials in Oak Creek are holding a public hearing Tuesday night, May 15 at the Oak Creek City Hall to hear a proposal for a development in the Oakview Business Park.

Samuel Dickman of The Dickman Company is requesting approval for outdoor storage of materials, vehicles and equipment on the property at l086l S. Howell Ave. for outdoor storage of vehicles and equipment.

Dickman has submitted plans for a 105,000 square-foot industrial building in Oakview Business Park. According to official documents, approximately 4.2 acres of the 15.8-acre parcel will be dedicated to outdoor storage for a user that will be relocating from elsewhere in the City.

Outdoor storage areas would be designated for tent products, event rental equipment, propane and portable diesel fuel tanks, portable generators, forklifts (heavy equipment), shipping containers, and trailers within a fenced area on the south and west sides of the building have been identified on the site plan included with this report (see list of stored materials).

Each of the propane tanks, of which 20 will be stored onsite, holds five gallons.

According to official documents, at least 55 employees will be on-site for the single shift between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. five days per week. Daily delivery traffic of up to 25 trucks is anticipated.
