OAK CREEK, WI -- Police in Oak Creek have taken reports of a number of vehicle break-ins in the city that took place overnight into the morning of May 6. In each case, police are reporting that suspects entered unlocked vehicles that were parked outside.

According to Oak Creek police reports, a resident on the 10400 block of S. 3rd Ave. contacted police on the morning of May 6 on a report that sometime overnight, someone entered his unlocked vehicle that was parked in his driveway and stole about $3 in change.

Police also said that a resident on the 10600 block of S. McGraw Drive had two of his vehicles rummaged through that same evening. In the McGraw Drive case, the vehicle owner reported that some spare change, two bottles of rum and two sets of keys were stolen from inside.

Police reported that a resident on the 4100 block of E. Elm Road had her unlocked vehicle rummaged through as well overnight into the morning of May 6. The vehicle owner said she had her car parked in the driveway in front of the house when it was broken into. Reports stated that nothing was missing.

Police also said that a car was broken into in the area of the 700 block of E. Village Green Court. In that report, a vehicle parked outside the garage while unlocked had been broken into. According to reports, the vehicle owner had her black Michael Kors wallet stolen, which contained a number of cards.

A resident on the 200 block of W. Rainbow Ridge drive called police during the day on May 6 reporting that someone stole her Tom Tom GPS device from her unlocked vehicle that was parked outside.

Later on May 5, a resident on the 8800 block of S. Wood Creek Drive called police saying that his wallet was stolen from inside his unlocked vehicle. The man reported that he canceled the credit cards that were contained inside the wallet.

Another resident on the 1000 block of E. Mary Lane called police saying that it appeared that several of the vehicles parked on his property overnight had also been rummaged through. All of the vehicles were unlocked, and some were parked on the street, where others were parked in the driveway.
