Milwaukee police had confirmed late Friday that they received a tip and were tracking a new lead in the missing person case of Patterson, who has not been seen in 14 years. The woman, who remains unidentified at the time, was reportedly angry and agitated by the attention but says she feels sorry for the Patterson's family.

The woman willingly submitted to a DNA test to prove that she wasn't Patterson. As it turned out, official documents provided to police confirmed the reportedly 28-year-old mother of two was not the answer to this unsolved case. The Ohio woman would have been seven years older than Patterson, according to a Journal Sentinel report.
