Report: Wisconsin Energy Profits Up Thanks to Oak Creek Power Plant
Second unit at plant became operational in January.

Wisconsin Energy profits rose 32 percent in the first quarter, and a big reason why was the coal power plant in Oak Creek, according to a Journal Sentinel report.
The second unit at the power plant on Elm Road . That boosted earnings by $32 million, the report said. Cold weather also played a key role in the company's big gains.
