Resident Launches "Politician Search" Website

Oak Creek man launches a website with the goal of providing voters with important info.

There is a valuable new website available to those hoping to learn more about their public officials. It's called - simply enough - PoliticianSearch.com and it was started by Rich Grams, an Oak Creek resident.

Grams conceived of the idea two years ago and with the help of programmer David Tacke, he began development on the site at the beginning of 2011. "The purpose of having our site is to make it easy for people to look up who represents them in government and find out how to contact said representatives", Tacke says.

If you visit Politician Search's homepage, you'll find a user-friendly system by which you can choose a state and select which political offices you want to be included in your search. Searches turn up your representatives' work and email addresses as well as their phone numbers and website links.

Other sites include this type of information, but you're not going to find one as comprehensive as Politician Search anywhere on the web, according to Tacke. However, that hasn't made them complacent.

The site went live in late March, but Grams and Tacke have continued to make improvements including adding a blog that is open to all the site's visitors and adding more information about representatives from US Territories and the political process itself.

Looking forward, the men behind Politician Search aim to eventually include contact information for local elected officials - such as mayors and city councilors - on their site.
