Roundabout Crash Attributed To Cell Phone Use: Report
The driver of a vehicle veered off the road and into the front yard of a home on the 600 block of W. Oakwood Road, according to reports.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Cellphone use from behind the wheel was the cause of a car crash in Oak Creek, police say.
According to police reports, the driver of a vehicle was heading est in the 600 block of W. Oakwood Road just after 2 p.m. on Dec. 16 when the driver dropped his cell phone while he was behind the wheel.
Reports stated the driver tried reaching for his phone, but in doing so, he took his hands off the steering wheel and lost control of his vehicle. His vehicle veered off the road and into the front yard of a home on the 600 block of W. Oakwood Road, striking a parked car.

According to reports, the parked car suffered severe damage to its passenger side. When police arrived, the driver of the vehicle and the owner of the parked car appeared to be in a heated argument at the crash scene.
According to reports, the 19-year-old driver was issued multiple citations.
