Routine Arrest Turns Suspicious After Police Find Lobster: Report

OAK CREEK, WI -- Police in Oak Creek say a routine arrest for a panhandler at a local gas station turned more suspicious after they found two frozen lobsters on the man.

According to police reports, a Kwik Trip employee reported that there was a man who was asking for money from customers on the property. Police reported finding the person, only to have him provide a false name and three different birth dates.

Police reports indicated that the man was searched, and that officers found a glass pipe that was used for cocaine. They also found two frozen lobsters and a pilot GPS.
Police contacted authorities in Franklin, who indicated that the incident was related to a retail theft at the Walmart that happened earlier that evening. The retail theft investigation was turned over to police in Franklin.

Police in Oak Creek cited the man for possession of drug paraphernalia and for obstructing an officer.
