Speeding Driver Causes Havoc In Oak Creek: Report
By the time officers arrived on the scene, there was nobody to be found.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek responded to the 1500 block of Drexel Ave. just before 5 a.m. on June 14 on a report of a speeding driver who caused havoc in the area.
According to Oak Creek police reports, an officer initially reported seeing the driver of a vehicle heading north in the 8000 block of S. 27th St. at about 80 miles per hour. Responding officers attempted to catch up to the vehicle which continued to drive east on W. Rawson Ave.
Reports stated that the vehicle continued heading east until the intersection with I-94 when it turned onto the freeway and headed south. The vehicle then exited the interstate at W. Drexel Ave.

According to reports, the vehicle failed to negotiate a turn onto W. Drexel Ave. where it collided with a crosswalk signal, drove over the median, and also struck a vehicle parked in the driveway of a home on the 8000 block of S. 20th Street before coming to a stop in a pile of gravel.
By the time officers arrived on the scene, there was nobody to be found, according to reports. Police reported they were going to follow-up with the vehicle's listed owner.
