Sticky Situation Handled At Pilot Travel Center: Report

A clean-up crew was called to the scene, as more than 50 gallons of adhesive poured out onto the parking lot.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Police in Oak Creek were called to the Pilot Travel Center just before 11 a.m . on Sep. 11 on a report of a potentially sticky situation.

According to police reports, an employee at the Pilot Travel Center called police, reporting a spill back by the diesel island and back parking lot.

When police arrived at the scene, they learned that the driver of a vehicle parked in the back lot, and then walked back inside because he lost his wallet in the store.

When the driver came back out, he saw that liquid was pouring from the rear of his trailer, as a large holding tank containing liquid adhesive moved and was punctured.

A clean-up crew was called to the scene, as more than 50 gallons of adhesive poured out onto the parking lot. Reports indicated that the Wisconsin DNR was not contacted because the liquid never came into contact with a water source.
