Stolen Electronics Lead Police to Oak Creek Library

A suspect at the library was taken into custody for receiving stolen property. The value of the stolen items was reported at $3,200.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak creek police responded to the public library on a report there was stolen property in the building.

According to police reports, the Hartland police department contacted police in Oak Creek after the owner of an iPad used the "find my iPad" app traced their stolen iPad to a location inside the Oak Creek library.

When officers responded, they found a suspect to be in possession of the iPad, along with the apparent victim's backpack, laptop computer, projector, speaker and other items.
