Stolen Vehicle Chase Leads Through Yards, Woods: Police
Reports state that K9 officer Nox picked up a scent from the vehicle that led east through several backyards in the area.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police responded to the 8100 block of S. White Oak Drive just before 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 8 on a report of a stolen vehicle.
According to police reports, an officer saw a stolen vehicle that had been abandoned and left in the area. Oak Creek police deployed the department's K9 unit, and K9 officer Nox began to sniff the area for suspects.
Reports state that Nox picked up a scent from the vehicle that led east through several backyards in the area. The trail turned north through more yards before coming out onto S. Wildwood Drive at W. White Oak Dr.

As luck would have it, the track led to the location of two suspects that another officer stopped. The suspects were taken into custody, and one of the two men confirmed with police that they ran from the vehicle and that the K9 had tracked them to the place where police found them.
According to police reports, they have issued citations for loitering and were arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent.
