Suburban Mayors Continue Push Against Redistricting Plan

A group of Milwaukee County mayors and village presidents, including Oak Creek Mayor Dick Bolender, will hire a lawyer to help fight the county board's redistricting plan, according to a Journal Sentinel report.

Municipal leaders have criticized the plan for consolidating "power in the hands of nearly all of the incumbents to the detriment of minority groups, historic community representations and the interests of the general public."
