Suspicious Van Driver Tries Luring 10-Year-Old Inside
Police are searching for the occupants of a white van, accused of attempting to lure a 10-year-old girl inside in broad daylight.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police are searching for the occupants of a white van, accused of attempting to lure a 10-year-old girl inside in broad daylight in Oak Creek.
The Oak Creek Police Department has received two reports of a white van involved in suspicious activity in Oak Creek.
According to police, on the morning of Aug. 8, just after 10:30 a.m., in the area of Melrose and Apple Creek, a 10-year-old girl was approached by the driver of a white full-size fan while she was riding her bike.

The person in the van called her over and the girl did not listen, and instead rode her bicycle home.
According to a police report, as the girl got to her driveway, the person for the van yelled for her to listen to him next time.

The second incident happened just before 9 p.m. on Aug. 10. In that case, a similar white van described to have scratched writing on its side was seen in the area of Riverton Meadows Park on Oak Creek's west side.
The van was seen occupied by a white man and also a black male, and where described as "just looking around." The children who reported this incident were not approached by the people in the van.
Oak Creek police are asking residents to report suspicious activity at 414-762-8200. If it is an emergency, citizens are encouraged to dial 911.
