Sweeney’s Gym Opens In Expanded Location

MILWAUKEE, WI — Sweeney’s Gym, which for the past 12 years had been housed in the Clarion Hotel near Mitchell International Airport, has reopened in a new 6,000-sq. ft., standalone facility at 6050 S. Howell Ave.

The new location is now closer to Oak Creek, and allows Sweeney’s an opportunity to add an outdoor fitness program, making it the only indoor-outdoor gym in the state.

In its new location, Sweeney’s will continue to offer a wide selection of fitness equipment, including
treadmills, bikes, weight machines and free weights, items that Sweeney calls his “bread and butter,”
emphasizing his gym’s focus on time-tested fitness techniques.

The gym also will continue to provide 24/7 access, discounts for students, active military members and veterans, as well as free fitness classes open to the public.

“Proper fitness and human performance needs to be holistic, and I’m really excited that the new space
affords me to really embrace this philosophy that I believe in by expanding our offerings and creating an
environment that truly builds community,” Sweeney said. “I want our members and guests to feel
comfortable and build off one another’s energy — that mind-body connection is so vital to good health
and wellbeing.”
