Swimming Season Concludes at State Meet

The Oak Creek boys swim team capped a memorable season on the state’s grandest stage.

Four swimmers and a diver competed in the WIAA Division 1 State Meet at the University of Wisconsin-Natatorium on Saturday.

Senior Sam Vissers swam in three events for the Knights. After setting school records in both the 100- and 200-yard freestyles a week ago at the WIAA sectional, Vissers swam 22^nd in the 200 in 1 minute, 50.99 seconds and 24^th in the 100 in 50.76.

He also teamed with seniors Jacob Wergin and Evan Koch and junior Zack Kaestner to take 19^th in the 200 free relay in 1:32.23.

Senior Tony Rodriguez failed to make it out of preliminaries and was 21^st in diving with 137.95 points.
