THC-Laced Jolly Ranchers Lead To Man's Panic Attack: Report

Police followed up with the man after treatment and learned that his girlfriend supplied him with the edible candies from her own brother.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek are reporting that a man was transported to the hospital with an apparent panic attack after the man admitted eating edible Jolly Ranchers that had been laced with THC.

According to Oak Creek police reports, police responded to the Brandywood Apartments on the 8900 block of S. Wood Creek Drive just after midnight on Aug. 5 on a report of a man who was screaming for help and having difficulty breathing while in a car parked in the back lot of the apartment complex.

Reports stated that officers determined the man was having a panic attack on a controlled substance. The man admitted to eating edible Jolly Ranchers laced with THC.

According to reports, the man was calmed and he was transported to Wheaton Franklin by the Oak Creek Fire Department. Police followed up with the man after treatment and learned that his girlfriend supplied him with the edible candies from her own brother.
