Tree Branch To Blame For Sunday Power Outage: Report
A power transformer blew, a wooden utility pole was on fire, and that it may have caused a large power outage in the area, police said.

OAK CREEK, WI — Authorities in Oak Creek say that a tree branch is to blame for a power outage and fire on Sunday.
According to Oak Creek police reports, a 911 caller on the 2900 block of E. Puetz Rd. called police just after 2:30 p.m., saying that a power transformer blew, a wooden utility pole was on fire, and that it may have caused a large power outage in the area.
Reports indicate that WE Energies responded to the scene, and reported that a tree branch broke at a home on the 2900 block of E. Puetz Rd. The branch fell onto power lines, and ultimately onto the resident's car which was parked in the driveway.

WE Energies workers confirmed that the fallen branch was the source of the power outage and affected repair that afternoon.
