Truck Broke Down? Police Find Drugs Instead
After the officer on-scene detected the odor of marijuana, the truck was searched. The officer reportedly located several drug-related items

OAK CREEK, WI — On Aug. 20, just before midnight, a caller reported that there were four men out by a Chevrolet truck parked on the 4100 block of Elm Road, and that it appeared suspicious.
When police went out to the scene, they talked with the people on scene who stated that their truck broke down and none of them had a cell phone.
As police were out at the scene, however, two people returned to the truck after walking some distance on the nearby bike trail.

After the officer on-scene detected the odor of marijuana, the truck was searched. The officer reportedly located several items of drug paraphernalia.
In speaking with two of the people on-scene, they admitted to driving to the apartments near 13th and College to visit the "Xan Man" to buy drugs. The driver stated that while she was there, they bought Suboxone sublingual strips and five-and-a-half tablets of what were believed to be Xanax.

Once the items were purchased, they were placed into a black handbag and thrown inside the vehicle. The vehicle search turned up 22 grams of marijuana, Suboxone, Alprazolam (a generic form of Xanax) and two black digital scales.
The officer cited the owner for possession of a controlled substance, a second person for possesion of marijuana and for drug paraphernalia.
