Two 18-Year-Olds Arrested In Speedway Standoff: Report
Police say two 18-year-olds tried a carjacking before closing themselves off in a Speedway gas station bathroom for 2 hours.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say that two 18-year-old men have been arrested in connection with an attempted carjacking. Police also say the two carjacking suspects are the same ones that barricaded themselves in the bathroom of a nearby Speedway gas station located across the street.
On Aug. 2, at about 2 p.m., Oak Creek police received a 911 call from a victim of an apparent carjacking that happened at the Red Roof Inn at 13th Street and College Ave. Police responded to the area and made contact with the victim.
According to police, the victim had minor injuries to his leg. While at the scene, officers learned of a disturbance happening right across the street at the Speedway Gas Station.

According to police accounts, two suspects involved in the carjacking had barricaded themselves in the bathroom inside the Speedway.
Police reported that the Milwaukee Police Department Tactical Enforcement Unit responded. Two hours later, the suspects were taken into custody. They are currently awaiting charges from the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office.
