Two 21-year-olds Who Died In Car Wreck Identified

The driver and passenger both died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash, sheriff's officials said.

OZAUKEE COUNTY, WI — Two 21-year-old men have died in the Town of Cedarburg after sheriff's officials say the vehicle they were traveling in lost control and collided with trees and a utility pole late Monday.

Ozaukee County Sheriff's officials identified both of the deceased. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Austin Riechers and the passenger identified as Devin Krumbiegel. The Crash remains under investigation by the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office.

On Monday, June 26, just after 6:30 p.m., the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Western Ave. west of Woodside Drive in the Town of Cedarburg.

Ozaukee County Sheriff's investigators said that the preliminary investigation revealed that a 21-year-old Cedarburg man, later identified as Riechers, was driving eastbound on Western Ave. in a Honda Civic.

Sheriff's officials said the passenger was identified as Krumbiegel. Riechers lost control of the vehicle and entered the south ditch striking trees and a utility pole.

Krumbiegel and Riechers both died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash, sheriff's officials said.

The Cedarburg Police Department and Cedarburg Emergency Management responded to the scene and provided assistance with traffic control. The Cedarburg Fire Department also responded to the scene.
