Two $40,000 Cars Stolen From Oak Creek Driveway: Report

OAK CREEK, WI -- A woman who had two $40,000 vehicles from her driveway got one of them back after it was found by Milwaukee police, authorities say.

According to Oak Creek police, a woman on the 8200 block of S. Park View Court called police just after 10 p.m. on May 15 to report that a suspect stole their gray Nissan Armada and their gray Cadillac Escalade - and that both vehicles were valued at $40,000 apiece.

Police logs stated that the woman told police that sometime between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., a suspect found a key fob containing keys to both the Cadillac and the Nissan resting on the console of the Cadillac, which was parked in the driveway of the home.

According to police logs, officers searched the area for information and came up with nothing new that could help in the investigation. Both vehicle were entered as stolen into their database.

According to police call logs, Milwaukee police called Oak Creek police at just after 1 a.m. on May 16 to report that they pulled over the driver of the Armada on the 3300 block of S. 15th Place in Milwaukee. Once on scene, the vehicle owner confirmed that the Armada police stopped was in fact the one that was stolen from her driveway.
