Unhappy Hotel Tenants Claim Bedbugs; Police Called

Oak Creek police responded to the Value Inn just after 4 a.m. on Sep. 4 on a report of a civil matter.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police responded to the Value Inn just after 4 a.m. on Sep. 4 on a report of a civil matter.

According to police reports, a person who was staying at the hotel called police after reportedly finding bed bugs in their room. The guest wanted a refund.

Police reports indicate that an officer spoke with a clerk at Value Inn, who stated that she could refund the guest for the nights that she signed up for, but if she wanted a refund for the nights she already stayed, she would have to speak with the manager during the week.

The guest reportedly took the refund for her unused nights, checked out, and left.

Police reports indicate that an officer was to follow-up with the city regarding the possible bed bug issue at the hotel.
