According to reports, a Red Roof Inn employee told police that on the night of Feb. 16, she was working the front desk when a woman and man came into the lobby to rent a room for the night. When the couple accused the worker of stealing their money, they reportedly hurled insults at the employee. Reports indicated that the employee then refused the upset couple a room for the night.

Reports indicate that as the employee was requesting that the couple leave, the woman threw hot water from the coffee machine in her face, and that the man punched, kicked and pulled her hair as she suffered burns from the hot water.
