Veterans Day 2017: Oak Creek Ceremony To Honor Hometown Heroes

A presentation honoring Oak Creek's hometown heroes follows the city's annual Veterans Day ceremony.

OAK CREEK, WI — Veterans Day is a time to reflect on those who have served our country in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Oak Creek will hold the Veterans day program at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Oak Creek Fire Station located at 6th Street and Rawson Ave., which is located just north of the Oak Creek Veterans Memorial Park.

The program will begin with the Oak Creek Police Deptarment Honor Guard Posting the colors, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by the Oak Creek High School Choir.

State Assembly Representative Jessie Rodriguez, State Senator Chris Larson and Oak Creek Mayor Dan Bukiewicz will deliver remarks. The Oak Creek VFW and American Legion Honor Guards will perform a 21-gun salute. A presentation honoring Oak Creek's hometown heroes follows.
