WE Energies Worker Says She Was Threatened By Shotgun Man: Police

According to police reports, a WE Energies worker said she was approached by a shotgun-wielding man in a motorized wheelchair last week.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police are investigating an incident that took place at a residence on the 6900 block of S. Howell Ave. involving a WE Energies worker and an upset resident.

According to police reports, a woman was at a home on Howell Ave. on Feb. 15 installing new electric meters in the area. She knocked on the front door of a home but got no answer.

Reports indicated she began her work on the exterior of the property and was in the process of changing the second and final meter when a 60-year-old man carrying a shotgun approached her in a motorized wheelchair.

According to reports, the man asked her "who the heck are you?" The woman told the man that she was with WE Energies to upgrade the meters. The man reportedly asked her whether she saw the "No Trespassing" sign on the property, and then advised the WE Energies worker to "Get off my property before I shoot you."

Reports stated that she had just finished work, so she left the property and then notified her supervisor at WE Energies, who filed a complaint.
