Wet Freeway Blamed For Car Vs Semi Accident On I-94
The apparent victim in the crash was reportedly hanging over the east barrier wall of the interstate in a construction zone.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — Wet freeway conditions early this morning accounted for at least one accident in northern Racine County near Oak Creek.
At about 1:40 a.m. Friday, authorities in Racine County learned of a vehicle accident near I-94 north on Highway KR in the town of Yorkville.
According to reports, the apparent victim in the crash was reportedly hanging over the east barrier wall of the interstate in the construction zone.

Reports stated that the vehicle driver told deputies on the scene that he was hit by a semi truck and pushed into and on top of the barrier wall.
The driver was transported to Ascension Hospital in Racine for non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities say the semi that struck the car was located north on the interstate by 27th st. off ramp. Upon investigating the accident, authorities learned that the struck vehicle hydroplaned and spun out on standing water on the interstate and was then hit by the semi.
The north bound lanes of the interstate were shut down for one hour for this accident.
