What Was That Giant Plume Of Smoke Above Mitchell Field This Morning?
It turns out, it was only a fire training exercise - and Mitchell Field confirmed it was a planned event.
MILWAUKEE -- Chances are, you saw the plume of smoke rising up over Mitchell Field in Milwaukee this morning. It was hard to miss, and was visible miles away.
Turns out, it was only a training exercise carried out at the airport's fire training facility. As Mitchell Airport officials aptly put it, "there's nothing to worry about."
