What's Happening With That Old Gas Station?

OAK CREEK, WI — Until recently, the site of the old Marathon gas station at the southeast corner of Howell Ave. and Ryan Rd. has sat quietly.

Then, last month, some signs of life began to appear in the old site, as some demolition work had taken place.

An Oak Creek Patch.com reader contacted us, asking us what was up with the old site and whether something new was coming in at that location.

We reached out to Douglas W Seymour, Director of Community Development in Oak Creek to find out.

According to Doug, the city is working with the owner of that property for re-use of the land. The property is zoned B-4, Highway Business and would allow a number of different uses.

The property is currently up for sale, and no notice of a buyer or property transfer has transpired.
