Woman Charged After Spitting, Throwing Hot Dogs At Officer: Cops

Police said a woman picked up two hot dogs with her right hand and threw them at officers when police said she may be arrested.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Police in Oak Creek say that a Wauwatosa woman has been arrested and has been charged after authorities say she spit an an officer and threw hot dogs at him while at the Pilot Travel Center.

According to Oak Creek police reports, a Pilot Travel Center employee called police just after 2 a.m. on Nov. 9 on a report that a woman in the store was playing with a lighter and some paper, and was refusing to leave the store when asked.

When police responded, they say the woman later identified as Kimberly Hook continued to insist that she wasn't going to leave. When officers said she faced arrest if she didn't leave the store, she picked up two hot dogs with her right hand and threw them at officers. At that point she was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct.

According to police accounts, she spit at the arresting officer. A spit mask was placed on the woman during the course of the arrest, officers say. According to court documents, Hook was charged with discharging bodily fluids at a police officer - a felony.
