Woman Finds Loaded Gun In Oak Creek Intersection: Report

When officers investigated, they reported finding a black 9 mm Sig Sauer P938 black semi-automatic handgun with five rounds in the magazine.

OAK CREEK, WI — According to Oak Creek police reports, a woman was driving her vehicle in the left turn lane to go west onto Rawson Ave. from S. Howell Ave. just before 1:30 p.m on June 15 when she saw what she thought was a gun laying in the road.

Reports state that she called the police, who came out to meet her. When officers investigated, they reported finding a black 9 mm Sig Sauer P938 black semi-automatic handgun with five rounds in the magazine that was laying on the curb near the left turn lane.

Reports indicated that when officers ran the gun's serial number, it came back as a silver Single stack 9 mm Sig Sauer Pistol reported lost out of Caledonia.

Police reported finding the owner of the missing handgun and returned it to him on Saturday, June 16 at 11 a.m.
