Woof Woof: Dog Day Care Facility Proposed on 6th Street
Business would be third of its kind in Oak Creek.

Camp Bow Wow, a dog day care and overnight boarding business, might open at 6925 S. 6th St.
The Black Diamond Group wants to lease space at the east end of the building for the facility. In its proposal, at least two employees would be on site for the dog day care, which would be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Up to 45 dogs could stay overnight.

The business would be the third of its kind in Oak Creek. Central Bark, 1075 S. Northbranch Dr., and Puppy Playground, 8411 S. Liberty Lane, are the others.
City officials say they have received no complaints about those two businesses. They don't expect any with Camp Bow Wow, either, because, just like the others, it is not near a residential area.

Camp Bow Wow, a national chain, also has a facility in Waukesha. It has more than 100 locations across North America, according to its website.
"This alternative to traditional kennels was developed to provide a fun, safe and upscale environment for dogs to play, romp and receive lots of love and attention," according to a business plan submitted to the city.
Before it opens, the Common Council must approve an amendment to the property's conditional-use permit.
The Oak Creek Plan Commission will take up the item Tuesday and offer a recommendation to the council, which will hold a public hearing on the proposal at a later date.
