Worker In Oak Creek Rescued In Trench Collapse: Police
Police logs stated that the worker was buried waist-deep in mud and rocks.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Police in Oak Creek say a construction worker is safe after he was partially buried in a deep trench while on the job over the weekend.
According to Oak Creek police logs, a 37-year-old Howards Grove man was on the job at a construction project during the morning of May 13 in the 6800 block of S. 27th Street when an unspecified accident resulted in the worker get stuck in a trench.
Police logs stated that the worker was buried waist-deep in mud and rocks in a trench ten feet in depth. According to police, the worker was on the job near the 27th Street Aldi site.

Police noted that the construction worker was extracted from the trench in a safe manner, and was transported to Froedtert Hospital with injuries to his right leg.
According to police, OSHA was contacted and arrived on-scene to conduct a follow-up investigation of the incident.
